The Upper Limb Unit at Wrightington has recently been completed  to house the upper limb wards and theatre which provides a twin theatre suite and an 18 bedded unit.                    
The new unit is a state of the art facility for the management of  patients with upper limb problems.  It comprises a twin theatre suite with laminar flow air systems to reduce infection rates, accompanying anaesthetic rooms, a recovery area and two ward areas for day case and intermediate care.  A reception area, consulting rooms and a discharge lounge complete the unit which is designed to help the patient through a difficult and stressful time.
