Welcome to the new Discussion Forum for Wrightington Members only.

The Forum runs both on email and over the website, so you will receive all postings by email and they will be archived in the Forum. You will also be able to email individual Wrightington members on the Forum.

Below are some FAQs relating to the Forum. Please read them first:

How do new members join?

Look at the links at the top of the page, and click on the link that says 'Register'.
Enter your details on this page. Try to use a password that would be easy for you to remember. The main fields you need to enter on the registration form are as follows:

Username: Username must be between 2 and 30 characters long
Password: Your password must be between 2 and 30 characters long
Name: your first and last name:
Mail: You must a valid email address.
Signature: The signature is the info in the bottom of ever post.
Save password between your visits: only select this if you not are using a public computer.

The other fields are not essential.

Once you have registered, an email is sent to the forum admin who will then review the information that you have entered on the form and either approve or reject your application. Once approved, you will be sent an email, and all members of the discussion group will be notified that a new member has joined the group

How do members post messages?

You can post messages in one of two ways:

1.  go to the forum start page. (the link at the left of the top navigation).

Then you need to select which forum you want to post messages in - e.g. General.

In each forum there are a number of 'threads' - these are separate discussions on a topic, and you can add your comments to these threads by clicking on the name of the topic, and clicking on the reply button at the bottom

2. When any comment is posted, you are sent an email with the content of the post in it. Each email contains a direct link to reply to the comment. Clicking on this link should automatically log you into the board, and bring up the 'reply to topic' form.

How do members create new topics?

When you select the forum you wish to contribute to (e.g. General) then you can add a new thread to this forum by clicking on the button in the top right hand side of the page labelled 'New Thread' - you need to be logged in to the forum to see this button.
